A stealth submarine like the one in The Hunt for Red October is hijacked by the XO and a crew while answering a distress call.
The ship doctor and an electronics/ communications mate try to
put a wrench into the A bomb missile launching plan. One billion dollars
for Washington, D.C. is the ransom demand. A head to head with another attack sub takes place due to the damage dome by the two to
the electrical systems.
Pretty good as submarine movies go with good solid acting.
