Film follows a young woman Eliana who runs away from home after her mother promises her into an arranged marriage. Eliana ends up in a big city working menial jobs and sharing room with her female friend. Eliana is desparate for her independence and she longs for true friendhip. Deep down she is disappointed that her mother would rather see her married than going to the University in spite of the fact that her mother has means to give her education.

As story unfolds about Eliana's relationship with her mother, who lives in the provinces, her friends who she met in a big city and a taxi driver who is driving them through the night - we learn that director is trying to explore the deapth and meaning of friendship and family in the new world of modern Asia. Which side does contemporary Thai woman belongs to? It seems that in Thailand, tradition wins as all of the characters of the movie retreat to their offspring.

Independent film, shot with home camera with fairly inexperienced actors and amateurish screenplay. Interesting as exploration of a human condition, perhaps acceptable as a sort of school (motion picture) project, but not too impressive as a piece of art.
