Nice film, wish it was a bit longerFeb 16, 2009

Being of Lithuanian heritage, I ordered this DVD to learn more about the country of my ancestors. I liked the documentary. My only complaint, I wish it was bit longer and had gone into more depth and more regions of the country.
It was also light on the historical context of the 19th century in comparison to the middle ages.
All in all though, very well done.

This is a nice introductory video for anyone planning a visit, or someone who will never visit but wants to see more about the land of Luthuania. The video is well made, the narrative is well-doine and the visuals are a great advertisement for this small country on the Baltic.

Good video and audio, takes a tourist's perspective. Would recommend as a preview if going for a visit. Gives overviews of the main tourist attractions.

Lithuania is probably the last paradise on earth. Vilnius has a dream in every corner, a lovely silence in every park, happy children in every garden, beautiful architecture on every square, many bicicles, not many cars and a fantastic old city center. Traveling around the country you pass through wonderful parks, lakes and small forests. Don't miss the library of the university, a work of art on its own. This DVD shows many of these lovely landscapes and it is really a wonderful job.
