I have watched and tried to learn moves and techniques through the famed YouTube. Unfortunately, that method shows one angle, low quality video and makes some assumptions that may not apply to you.
From anatomy of the knife to the emphasis on safety, to manipulation techniques and actual fighting, this DVD hits the important factors.
The author speaks clearly and communicates well enough for learning. He shows and explains each move step by step, always emphasizing safety. Slow motion video, normal speed and the combination of multiple viewing angles help the student learn the proper technique. Throughout the video, the author emphasizes safety.
If you want to learn the Balisong, this is the best there is to offer. He has made learning aerials, rollovers, and openings so much easier. Yes, you can learn from YouTube but this system is organized in a progression that will make you truly learn the moves with less frustration, fewer injuries and better insight into the art of the balisong.

I looked through all of those terrible youtube videos! I got this through I friend and when I saw it here I had to review it. This is incredible he does the moves in parts and stops so you can watch and voices over directions. Incredible! All you need is this great video.

As with all Mikes video's this was very well done, It was easy to understand and the quality of production was excellent. The different angle shots were a plus.
This is by far the best video available on balisong openings.

Great dvd. Bought the knife for my boy, wanted to learn some tricks. Youtube vids just weren't cutting it. Thanks for the great product and fast delivery.

Good balisong video for the beginner wanting to learn basic openings. I watched youtube video balisong tricks and learned from that.
