A rare look at the conflict in BurmaDec 03, 2009
By Thomas Hommeyer This film offers the viewer an inside look at the tragedy of what's really happening today in Burma. By living with the Karen people as they literally run for their lives, Director Blauer provides a brave and honest account of the 'ethnic cleansing' which we in the US hear so little about. However, it's also a story of resistance and hope in the midst of such persecution; showing the Karen to be proud and confident of a better future.
As the US slowly begins to engage in dialogue with the Myanmar (Burmese) regime, I highly recommend this film to anyone who wishes to know more of the true situation.
